Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania welcomes the newly elected Board of Directors chair and officers. They include:
Susan Gallant, DNP, MHA, RN, CCM is Easterseals Board Chair. She is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 35 years of domestic and international experience spanning clinical leadership, program administration, and workforce well-being. As a Senior Consultant at UPMC Workpartners, Susan drives strategic initiatives that advance organizational health, education, and quality outcomes. Dr. Gallant holds advanced degrees in nursing and health administration and is an active member of professional organizations dedicated to leadership and healthcare excellence. Susan brings a thoughtful, systems-level perspective to board service—committed to guiding organizations toward sustainable growth and excellence in care.
Rosi Cooper, MPT is Easterseals new Board Vice Chair. Rosi is a rehabilitation technologist, concentrating on wheelchair technology and use. She is an instructor at University of Pittsburgh in both the School for Health and Rehabilitation Science and the Department of Rehabilitation Science Technology. Rosi is a Clinical Coordinator at HERL, and she is a Clinical Instructor/Wheelchair Seating Clinician at the UPMC Center for Assistive Technology. Rosi has been a longtime member of Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania board of directors. She and her husband Rory Cooper will receive Easterseals Partner in Equity award at the annual Partner in Equity Celebration November 6, 2025.
Dan Honkus is Easterseals new Board Treasurer. Dan recently retired as Controller of Somerset Trust Company, part of his 40+ year career in the finance/accounting arena. He is a 1983 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a native/current resident of Somerset County. In addition to his service on the ESWCPA Board, Dan has served as a member of the Cambria/Somerset Division's Advisory Council for decades and takes an active role with their fundraising efforts, often serving as emcee for their Office Olympix and Golf Tournament events.
Jim Pentland is Easterseals new Board Secretary. Jim is a Project Manager at RedZone Robotics with a deep passion for technology. He thrives on pioneering innovative solutions to disrupt traditional processes. As a seasoned strategic business leader, Jim has been on the board of directors for two years. He brings strong management and leadership qualities, business acumen, financial expertise, effective communication, interpersonal skills, and critical thinking abilities.
