The 59th Annual Turkey Bowl

The Turkey Bowl Booster Club is proud to announce plans for the 59^th Annual Turkey Bowl to benefit Easterseals Johnstown/Somerset Division helping children and adults with hearing and speech disabilities as well as Autism, Apraxia, ADHD and Developmental Delays.

This year’s Johnstown Thanksgiving Day tradition will be at Price Field in Westmont. The game starts on Thanksgiving Day, Novembr 26, 2026 @ 10:00 A.M. Admission is free, & everyone is welcome.  Come cheer on your favorite team!

The Turkey Bowl began in the backyards of the Crooks and Dovey families 59 years ago, as a game played before the Thanksgiving Day feast. Over the years through name changes and rule updates, the most significant decision regarding the annual tussle was made in 1972.  That’s when the players decided to use the game to raise money for Easterseals, helping children and adults with Speech and Hearing Disabilities, Autism and other Developmental Delays so they can live, learn, and work in our communities.

To date the Turkey Bowl has raised over $600,000 for Easterseals!!  If you would like to donate to this long running tradition, go to Easterseals Western and Central PA's Local Donation Site. Questions?  Contact Sandy Roush via email at sroush@eastersealswcpenna.org.
