Take a Walk With Me York/Harrisburg at Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania’s 2nd annual event at Lake Tobias Wildlife Park on Saturday, September 27 from 8:15AM-12PM. Tickets are $30 and include event activities, snacks, event tee-shirt, admission and safari tour. Walking teams will walk, stroll, or wheel the one-mile course in support of the 1 in 4 people in the US who live with a disability today.
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania helps people with disabilities, and their families, caregivers and veterans access the services and supports they need to reach their full potential. In the York/Harrisburg area, programs include camping and recreation opportunities for the children of military personnel and veterans and children and adults with disabilities.
Easterseals 2025 Walk With Me York/Harrisburg ambassador is Patrick. Normally quiet and introspective, Patrick is talkative and full of laughs at Easterseals weekly bowling program. Born with developmental delays and later diagnosed with multiple disabilities including autism, Patrick began attending Easterseals bowling program 13 years ago. Patrick’s mother, Liz commented about Easterseals bowling program, “The bowlers and their family members cheer on all the bowlers. It is always a good time! I wish more families would take advantage of the many fabulous programs that Easterseals offers!”
